13th general meeting of the environmental network Ecoliance Rheinland-Pfalz e.V.: Setting the course for an innovative future with "green" technologies

The 13th general meeting of the environmental network Ecoliance Rheinland-Pfalz e.V. took place at the university in Kaiserslautern and set new standards for the future work of the organisation. The meeting was characterised by transition and renewal, with a particular focus on the farewell to deserving board members, the election of new board members and the introduction of innovative initiatives that support transformation processes.

The deserving Board members who stepped down after two terms of office were recognised for their outstanding achievements, in particular their tireless efforts in founding the subsidiary Ecoliance GreenTech Innovation GmbH and handing over the administration of the association to the GmbH. In doing so, they followed the recommendation of the accompanying research project UmTecNetz-Potenzial Rheinland-Pfalz, financed by the MKUEM Rheinland-Pfalz, in which they were closely involved as experts. The vision and commitment of the departing Board members Prof Dr Henrik te Heesen, Dr Ricki Rosenfeldt and Arndt Müller as well as Wolfgang Bühring have laid the foundations for the continued success of Ecoliance.

New board members for fresh impetus

The general meeting elected Prof Dr Karl Keilen (Kunz Rechtsanwälte) as the new chairman and Ralf Zorn (board member of Verbandsgemeindewerke Konz AÖR) and Peter Mauer (HSI Consult GmbH) as additional board members. Herbert Zahnen, Zahnen Technik GmbH, ran again and was re-elected. The newly elected Board members have extensive experience in the fields of energy, sustainability and environmental technology and will make a significant contribution to the association's strategic focus on innovative solutions and technologies for climate and environmental protection.

Reinforcement through new members

Another highlight of the meeting was the introduction of a large number of new members. The expansion of the membership brings new perspectives and expertise to the network, enabling Ecoliance to pursue its goals even more effectively and have a broader impact on the development of sustainable solutions.

Innovative webinar series on ChatGPT

Following the fully booked event "AI in the water industry" on 14 February, Ecoliance Rheinland-Pfalz e.V. is launching another initiative on the topic of artificial intelligence: the new webinar series dedicated to the use of ChatGPT in everyday office life. The webinars aim to inform members about the potential and possible applications of artificial intelligence and provide practical insights into how ChatGPT can contribute to increasing efficiency and innovation in the professional environment. The series emphasises Ecoliance's commitment to positioning its members at the forefront of technological developments and making the benefits of artificial intelligence accessible.

In addition, the euWater4i-SD project, presented by Louise Gubanski, will offer members interesting business contacts at an event at the IFAT environmental technology trade fair in Munich on 15 May. The event focussed on water and wastewater topics, including energy-efficient technologies for wastewater treatment plants in third countries.

Ecoliance Rheinland-Pfalz e.V. is taking decisive steps forward with the successful members' meeting in Kaiserslautern, the launch of a forward-looking webinar series, the focus on artificial intelligence and its importance for the green transformation and the expansion of its membership. The network and its members are visibly committed to a sustainable and innovative future.
