TRION-climate: 10th Trinational Climate and Energy Congress of the Upper Rhine Conference on June 6, 2025

TRION-climate e.V. is organizing the 10th Climate and Energy Congress on behalf of the DE-FR-CH Upper Rhine Conference. The event will take place on June 6 at the Freiburg Regional Council (9:00-15:00 with a get-together afterwards).

The aim of this congress is twofold:

  • Launching the TMO’s new climate and energy strategy
  • Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the TRION-climate e.V. association

Due to the high number of participants, the registration deadline has been brought forward to May 22. Participation is free of charge.

The congress is dedicated to the new climate and energy strategy for cross-border cooperation and the projects on geothermal energy, hydrogen and photovoltaics envisaged there will be discussed in parallel thematic blocks.

  • Jean-Luc Heimburger, Chairman of the Alsace Chamber of Commerce and Industry, spokesperson for the TMO’s business pillar
  • Prof. Dr. Thomas Hirth, Vice President Transfer and International Affairs at KIT, Vice President EUCOR
  • Prof. Dr. Hannes Kopf, President of SGD Süd, State of Rhineland-Palatinate
  • Christelle Lehry, Vice-President of the Environment Committee of the Région Grand Est

In the afternoon, the topics of geothermal energy, hydrogen and photovoltaics will be explored in depth in three parallel thematic blocks.
