What is Ecoliance?
Global challenges, such as the ever increasing shortage of raw materials, have a major impact on society and the economy, while opening up enormous opportunities for businesses in the environmental sector. Global trends create markets for launching new solutions and products. To participate in these markets, concepts need to be turned into marketable products effectively and efficiently.
Ecoliance is an association of leading environmental practitioners in the German federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate and acts as the local point of contact for environmental issues in the region. The network helps businesses in Rhineland-Palatinate to find the right associated partners for the successful realisation of comprehensive turnkey solutions. Furthermore, Ecoliance enables companies to participate in pilot projects in future markets. The aim is to pave the way for sustainable innovation and to provide answers to the challenges of tomorrow, while promoting growth and employment in the German federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Ecoliance positions itself as the network of choice for thinkers and doers. The emphasis is placed on joint projects and active work to ensure tailored and holistic solutions.
Nurturing and developing existing potential
Rhineland-Palatinate is already home to a large number of innovative businesses that lead the way in their respective fields. Together with its members, Ecoliance wishes to utilise this extremely positive situation to unlock and boost the potential of the environmental engineering sector. The network emerged from the environmental engineering initiative of the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry for Environment, Energy , Food and Forestry. It was supported by the positive results of the 2013 potential analysis of the environmental engineering sector in Rhineland-Palatinate, which was followed in 2014 by a series of workshops with companies resulting in specific fields of action and project ideas.
