Environmental Technology Network Elects New Board of Directors

Recently, the members of the Rhineland-Palatinate environmental technology network Ecoliance elected new board members at their annual meeting. Werner Zimmermann, managing director of Rhenocoll, was appointed chairman. He will now be assisted by Arndt Müller, Member of the Executive Board of Stadtwerke Trier, Ricki Rosenfeldt, co-founder and Managing Director of the young company nEcoTox and Prof. Dr. Henrik te Heesen, Professor for Renewable Energies at Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld.

"With this team we will be able to continue to set strong impulses for environmental technology and to make the innovative strength of the industry even more visible," Werner Zimmermann is certain.

The previous board members Prof. Dr. Heinz-Dieter Hellmann, Chairman of the KSB Foundation, who retired, and Arno Lauhöfer, Managing Director of Metropolstrom GmbH, wished the network every success for the next few years.

In conjunction with the reorganisation of the Management Board, Ecoliance will become an even stronger driving force for innovation projects at regional, national and international level. "Setting the course in the direction of innovation and networking of SMEs with applied science is a real concern for us," emphasised Dr. Eberle, head of department responsible at the Ministry for the Environment, Energy, Food and Forestry.
