Trier, May 26, 2025 – Ecoliance Rheinland-Pfalz e.V., the network of the environmental technology industry in Rhineland-Palatinate, announces a change in the management of its wholly owned subsidiary, Ecoliance GreenTech Innovation GmbH.
Two and a half years after the GmbH was founded , the previous Managing Director Michael Jakob is taking his well-deserved retirement. Michael Jakob was officially dismissed at the shareholders’ meeting on May 21, 2025. The Board of Ecoliance RLP e.V., which is also a shareholder of the GmbH, would like to thank him warmly for his commitment and development work over the past few years.
Philipp Fuhge was appointed as the new Managing Director. After a selection process with several qualified candidates, the decision was made in his favor, partly due to his extensive knowledge of Ecoliance structures. Mr. Fuhge is also Managing Director of SCM Messe Marketing Event GmbH, with whom Ecoliance has already worked successfully on several occasions – including representing Ecoliance members with a joint stand at IFAT, at the Hydrogen Congress in Trier last year and at the Innovation Forum of the EU project euWater4i-SD at IFAT 2022.
Philipp Fuhge will take up his new position on June 01, 2025. He is looking forward to getting to know the members of the network personally, entering into dialog with them and learning about their expectations of the GmbH. His aim is to further expand and develop Ecoliance GmbH’s services for its members in a targeted manner.
Another important signal for the future viability of Ecoliance GmbH is that the funding from the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of the Environment has already been extended for a further year and is therefore secured until the end of 2025. A further extension of one additional year is currently being examined.
The project “Green Economy in Rhineland-Palatinate – green technologies as an accelerator of the sustainability transformation” aims to strengthen the medium-sized environmental technology sector and drive forward the transformation to a green economy. Ecoliance GmbH was founded as a subsidiary to manage projects and support innovative approaches for start-ups and medium-sized members – with the aim of not only developing sustainable technologies, but also successfully establishing them on the market.
The four members of the Ecoliance Management Board, who are also shareholders of the GmbH, would like to thank Michael Jakob for his work at Ecoliance GmbH and wish him all the best for his retirement. Philipp Fuhge is warmly welcomed as the new Managing Director, with great anticipation for the future collaboration.
