Power Purchase Arrangements - PPAs for short - are becoming increasingly important in the financing of renewable energy projects. The possibility of directly marketing generated green electricity and supplying it to private consumers over a term of often 10 to 20 years brings advantages for both sides. The consumer protects himself against price fluctuations in relation to an agreed quantity of electricity, while the generator is guaranteed stable income.
