The EU project euWater4i-SD (\u201cEUropean Water-Smart initiative for fostering International Sustainable Development\u201d) aims to support European SMEs that want to tap into South American and East African markets.<\/p>

The project, funded by the European Union’s COSME program, began in September 2021 and will run for three years. euWater4i-SD is funded with a total budget of \u20ac603k, with Ecoliance RLP e.V. covering a share of \u20ac114k. The EU funding covers 90% of this amount. <\/p>

Ecoliance RLP e.V. is pleased to be one of the five European clusters that will develop euWater4i-SD.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The aim of WP1 project management and implementation (led by Aclima) is to ensure the success of the project through appropriate management, coordination and quality control mechanisms during the project lifetime in order to:<\/p>

– to ensure efficient and smooth coordination and quality control of all project activities;
– to ensure timely achievement of project objectives and adherence to the planned budget;
– to promote and support communication between the PPs and between the different WPs;
– to promote the development of efficient and proactive relations with the European Commission \/ EASME.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

The main objective of WP2 Communication and Public Relations (led by Ecoliance) is to ensure effective external communication to achieve change and successfully disseminate project progress. The WP3 design of the JIS (led by CREA Hydro&Energy) paves the way for long-term cooperation within the partnership. The aim is to design a common international strategy that will be tested in work packages 4 and 5 before being fine-tuned and expanded in work package 6 to define the long-term sustainability of euWater4i-SD.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

The main objective of the WP4 validation of the JIS by the SME Internationalization Programme (led by France Water Team) is to introduce, implement and test the Joint Internationalization Strategy. This corresponds to the validation phase of the project, in which SMEs from euWater4i-SD clusters are included in target market-oriented measures.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

WP5-ESCP4i Cross Fertilization (led by France Water Team) will help to improve the capacity of euWater4i-SD and its partner clusters, leading to partnership agreements with other clusters. This is achieved by:<\/p>

– Strengthening the consortium’s networking
– Improving the capacity of euWater4i-SD PPs
– Building new partnerships

WP6-Long-term sustainability (led by Ecoliance) is dedicated to building the future to ensure long-term cooperation between all partners. The focus at an early stage is on monitoring performance indicators and assessing the impact of the direct measures implemented for SMEs (WP4) and clusters (WP5).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The project focuses on global smart water solutions<\/b> (services, technologies and business models) that enable the transition to sustainable territories<\/b> through resource-efficient management and the implementation of the circular economy.

There is a particular need for intelligent water solutions in five sectors, as they are affected by an adequate quantity and quality of water: Construction, energy as a service, agriculture, industry and water resource management and supply. They can be identified as part of the sustainable territorial market<\/b> and are particularly addressed by euWater4i-SD.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

euWater4i-SD will target high-growth markets in continents and countries where European SMEs are underrepresented. This is the case in East African and mid-sized Latin American countries<\/b>, where there are numerous and growing opportunities. These countries have already expressed their need for smart water solutions and will therefore be the focus of euWater4i-SD.<\/p>

The project will establish a one-stop-shop for EU SMEs offering smart water solutions<\/b> to boost their business opportunities and increase their competitiveness on a global scale.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
