Innovation on the Upper Rhine: Networking opportunities for companies in the KTUR project

A cross-national and inter-university network and more intensive cross-border cooperation in research and development between science and industry: This is the goal of the European Union-funded trinational pioneering project "Knowledge Transfer Upper Rhine" (KTUR), which started in 2019. The partners will present concrete measures and results from the first year of the project at the digital launch event on Friday, 9 October. Company representatives are cordially invited to attend the event. The detailed programme and the registration form can be found at www.irm.kit.edu/ktur.php.

The kick-off event is one of many other opportunities for companies from the Upper Rhine region to find out about the project, become part of the network and contribute with their experience and needs to the project at an early stage. Thus they can contribute to a modern offer in the field of technology and knowledge transfer, which is optimally adapted to the needs of the companies. The project now provides regular information on LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/ktur and via the new website at www.ktur.eu. There you can also subscribe to the KTUR newsletter and find out about events organised by the project and numerous other providers from the region.

Partners in KTUR are twelve universities in the Upper Rhine region. In an exchange with network partners, platforms, business development agencies, chambers of industry and commerce and companies, the project team has identified best practice solutions and defined potential for improvement in the cooperation between science and business over the past twelve months. The pilot measures derived from these findings are now being implemented and evaluated with the participation of around 100 companies.

The EU is funding KTUR with 1.6 million euros within the framework of the INTERREG V programme. On the Swiss side, the project is supported with federal and cantonal funds.
