euWater4i-SD: News and ongoing activities

It is now almost a year since the European project started. Since then, the consortium has been able to successfully carry out numerous analyses as well as its first international event, the Innovationsforum. What are the next steps?

  • European Cluster Conference

Several euWater4i-SD partners, including Ecoliance, represented by Louise Gubanski, will be present at the European Cluster Conference on 26-27 September in Prague, Czech Republic. The project will be present with a stand (no. 7) on both days. We look forward to meeting you there!

  • Exploratory missions to Uganda

In order to prepare further actions such as B2B and business missions to the target markets (East Africa and Latin America), euWater4i-SD partners are currently organising two so-called "exploratory missions": one to Peru in October 2022 in the framework of the Expo Agua Peru trade fair and one to Uganda in November 2022 in the framework of the AFRICA 2022 trade fair. Ecoliance will be represented by Louise Gubanski and will participate in the Uganda trip. The delegation trips will provide opportunities to better understand the water market in the target countries and meet relevant stakeholders in the sector.

  • Market Intelligence Bulletin

euWater4i-SD's Market Intelligence Bulletin is about to be launched. Are you a European SME from the water sector interested in exporting your solutions to East Africa and/or Latin America? The Market Intelligence Bulletin will regularly inform you about news in East Africa and Latin America: Business opportunities, market and technology trends, regulatory evolution - but also political, social and sanitary news having influence over business. You can subscribe to the Bulletin here. The first bulletin will be sent out in October. If you are already a recipient of the euWater4i-SD newsletter, you will automatically be subscribed to the Bulletin.

  • Joint Internationaliation Strategy

The euWater4i-SD team is currently finalising the Joint Internationalisation Strategy. It will provide the guidelines for supporting more than 1,000 European SMEs to go international, especially in East Africa and Latin America. The strategy will be completed in November 2022 and 4 key internationalisation tools for EU SMEs will be launched from 2023:

- Market intelligence about target markets
- Capacity building actions regarding export issues
- Trade opportunities
- Financial opportunities

The access to these tools will be free for the selected SMEs, and potentially accompanied by a financial support (for instance for the participation in trade missions).
